Creative Arts

Welcome to the Creative Arts Faculty.

Pupils in the Creative Arts will cover a diverse range of topics in an engaging and practical way, enabling students to develop their creativity, knowledge and understanding of the arts, as well as transferable life long skills.

BGE

S1 and S2

Pupils will receive 3 periods of Creative Arts a week. One period each from Art, Music and Drama.

They will also spend an additional  period a week in a Combined Arts class where the skills common to all 3 disciplines are explored through delivery of a mutual theme.

S3

Pupils choose from Art, Music, Drama and will spend 3 periods a week in that subject

S4-6

Art N4.-Advanced Higher

The faculty offers a range of extra-curricular activities, where pupils have opportunities to participate in concerts, performances, and exhibitions in and outside school.  Pupils will also be given the opportunity to broaden their experience of the arts through trips and visits run throughout the school year.
